Cacao almond clusters

These crunchy chocolatey clusters are a delicious treat to have in the fridge. Lightly sweetened with maple syrup and bound by coconut oil which has antimicrobial properties and feeds the cells that line our gut, helping to replenish it. The cacao is high in antioxidants and magnesium and the protein dense almonds make these clusters a satiating snack. 

 

Ingredients

2 cups almond meal

1/2 cup cacao powder

5 Tsp coconut oil

2 Tsp maple syrup

pinch salt

1/2 cup thinly sliced almonds

 

 

Method

Place all ingredients except sliced almonds into the food processor and blend. Transfer chocolate mix to a bowl, add the sliced almonds and roll into balls.
